pH: 2.0 – 3.0
Viscosity, Brookfield: 25 – 200 cPs
Specific Gravity: 1.05

General Characteristics

GR 1045 is easy to handle, and can be added at any stage of the formulation, with agitation.
GR 1045 is resistant to enzyme and microbe attack, and coatings thickened with GR 1045 show better leveling and film build.
The pH of the system must be greater than pH 8.0.

GR 1045 is used as an alternative to cellulose thickeners.
GR 1045 is generally used in the letdown stage.
Coatings thickened with GR 1045 show better leveling and film build.
In paints GR 1045 has shown exceptional splatter resistance.
GR 1045 is an associative thickener and its efficiency will vary slightly
depending on the binder used.

Industrial and Household Cleaners

GR 1045 is used in cleaning formulations because of its excellent viscosity efficiency, viscosity stability, Newtonian rheology, particle suspension properties and ease of incorporation.
GR 1045 is stable in the presence of most electrolytes and solvents.
GR 1045 prevents syneresis and does not promote the formation of foam.
