Zenith CFS is a powerful surface active agent, capable of emulsifying, foaming, dispersing, and imparting wet stability, when used either alone or in combination with other surfactants. It is used extensively in the carpet industry for compounding and the production of low density latex foams.

Typical Properties

Appearance: Cream coloured fluid dispersion
Chemical Composition: Disodium-N-octadecyl sulphosuccinamate
Ionic Character: Anionic
Solids Content: 32 – 35%
pH: 7.0 – 10.0
Specific Gravity: 1.05
Surface Tension: (0.1%) 45 Dynes/cm
Solubility (30°C): 1%
Solubility (60°C): 20%

Zentih CFS is effectively used as a stabilising and foaming agent for spread latex foam and for use in latex compounds.

Stabilisation of the latex subsequently enables the formulation of compounds with high total solids content.

Other Application

Surface Tension – If desired, for wetting out purposes, Zenith CFS can be used to reduce surface tension.

Stability to Shear – Addition of Zenith CFS up to 0.5% can help to impart shear stability.

Emulsification – Zenith CFS can be used in emulsifying non-soluble or partially non-soluble compounds.

Innovation: It’s part of our DNA Large enough to deliver. Small enough to care.

Innovation is everywhere at Blue Reef. For example, the chemical products which we have produced for the anti-scalent market are unique in every way. Our “HEXAMER” based products are formulated and manufactured employing processes previously never used in the manufacture of water treatment products.
Not only does this make the products far more stable than traditional inhibitors, but one is able to actually test for the active aspect in the product. This takes scale inhibition and scale removal to a new level in that chemical dosing rates can be calculated very accurately resulting in cost savings and increased efficacy.
